If Only...

Erin heard me make a comment about the grass needing to be mowed, but that I didn't want to do it. The next thing I know, she runs outside and grabs her lawn mower and starts working on the yard. I asked her what she was doing and she said: "I'm helping you Mommy, then you don't have to do it." If only her little lawn mower actually cut the grass...it's getting pretty long out there....

Spring is here!

Spring is here! I love this time of year! It's tie though as to whether I love all the flower bulbs blooming right now in my yard or if it's the glasses full of dandelions that I have in my kitchen from the girls are better. Every few minutes they bring in more flowers for me to enjoy in the kitchen, such cuties-they know what I love. :) So here is to my kitchen being full of dandelions all spring/summer long!

Worms!!

It has been raining a lot lately which has brought up all the worms! Erin brought me this handful of joy today after she and Bailey were done playing in the sandbox..... That's my erin! She wanted to keep them as pets so I had to convince her that they would die unless they stayed outside. Nothing freaks out that girl!

I feed my kids sticks...apparently

I made Wild Rice and Chicken Soup for dinner the other day--and I'm sure you all know how wild rice has many different kinds of rices of all different colors.
Well, Erin looks in her bowl and says "MOM! You put sticks in the soup!?" The rest of dinner she tried to eat around the skinny black pieces of rice because she insisted that they were sticks, no matter how many times I tried to convince her otherwise. LOL
So, if any of you want to feed your kids some sticks I have a really good recipe, apparently. :)

Easter Time Stuff....

Well, it's been a while since I've posted anything so this one might be a big long...... And for some reason, backwards in time so just ignore that part. :) Just a bunch of Easter Time stuff this year....


So What do you think? Some pretty good lookin' girls, huh?

The girls were so excited to be twins this year with their new Easter dresses--And of course, Erin wouldn't hold still for the picture....

We also went to Baby Animals Days like we do every year. Bailey's favorite part was riding the pony (again, like it is every year) and Erin was obsessed with the baby goats--she kept trying to pick them up and give them hugs. Imagine that, Erin trying to hug something! :) (for those of you who see her often know how much she loves giving hugs to anyone and everyone). Erin also said that she loved "chatting with the boy who helped me ride the pony"..... That made me laugh, I guess she takes after her mother, talking to everyone she meets.

A couple weeks ago we colored eggs, and we managed to not get any clothes stained in the process. Every year we color hard-boiled eggs and I save up eggs that I have poked holes in and blow out the egg when I cook with them---I feel like I am blowing out my brains too and every time I just hope I don't suck in and get raw egg in my mouth! EWW!!
