Yay Bailey!

Today was Bailey's last day of kindergarten and she got 2 certificates! She had 100% homework for the year and 100% attendance for the year too! She was the only Kindergartener that never missed a day of school all year, and she was so excited to get recognized for it. The principal came in and told her that he has a prize for her (it's a medal) to come pick up at the school next week. I'm proud of my little girl.

Today was Bailey's Kindergarten program, and it turned out so great! She was chosen to be one of 3 narrators for it and she was so excited to be so involved in the program. They sang songs and did dances that have learned over the year as well as each child had a part that they said of their favorite thing that they did. I was so proud of her, she did such a good job speaking clearly and singing her songs. She is sad that tomorrow is her last day of school. She told me today that she is going to miss her teacher a lot--and then she asked if we could go buy her a lunchbox today since she'll need one in first grade! AHHH!! I'm not ready for my baby to get big and be at school all day next year, an adjustment for me come fall for sure. Way to go Bailey!

6 Unimportant Things...

My 6 UN-important Favorite Things

Let's see Annette tagged me a while ago and I forgot to do this...so here we go. :)

A list of 6 things that are unimportant that make me happy:
1- Mail! (any kind: junk mail, cards, notes, anything I just like seeing my name on mail! emails too lol)
2- Sugary candy-I have such a sweet tooth...
3- Rain, puts me in such a lazy, cuddily mood. Nothing better than curling up with a good book/movie and listening to the rain. hmmm...maybe I shouldn't live in the desert then, huh?
4- Listening to the girls laugh. It cracks me up to hear them playing and laughing their little heads off together.
5- Flowers and plants, especially in the yard and on my kitchen table.
6- Listening to music. I always have music of some kind playing on the cd player in the kitchen. I attach a lot of memories to music.

Happy Mother's Day!

Gotta love a little girl who really appreciates mother's day. :) I went to bed last night thinking "Oh I would LOVE to be able to sleep in tomorrow!" Well, I didn't get my wish but my wake up was a nice one. At exactly 7 am this morning, Bailey came in to wish me a Happy Mother's Day. I woke up to her tickling my face, a pleasant way to wake up even though I didn't get to sleep in. Bailey also wrote me a 'poem' at school, it's all laminated and colored. It was really sweet (and funny) so I thought I'd share. Here is wishing all you Mom's out there a Happy Mother's Day!!

The Girls New Hair Cut

The girls got their hair cut this week--and it looks adorable! Such a cute summer cut--no more tangles and fighting to get their hair done! They were both so excited to get it done and Bailey especially couldn't stop looking at herself in the mirror. :) The picture of Erin and I, Bailey took! She is already a photographer.

Proud of myself!

So since I'm Bailey's school RoomMom I was in charge of decorating her teacher's door for Teacher Appreciation Week. I was so proud of myself because it actually turned out how I pictured it in my mind!! That never happens, I usually have this idea and it turns out TOTALLY different (and not as cute I might add). I thought I'd share my masterpiece that is hanging on her teacher's door! :)
