New Bike

Erin got a new bike on Saturday! We thought it was finally time to graduate her from a big-wheel bike, and she was super excited about it. It took her a few minutes to learn how to pedal it without pushing back on the brakes constantly, but then she was off! Today neighborhood bike rides--tomorrow Lotoja! (an annual bike ride from Logan to Jackson Hole)....well, not quite but she sure is speedy!

Our new excitement....

So, last week we had an arrival at our house that has been pretty exciting--a Wii!! We've been wanting to get one for about a year now but whenever we would put money aside for one we would go spend it on something else fun instead. So finally I ordered one! Bailey especially loves it, as Erin is probably a bit too young to fully appreciate it, but she'll get there. It is pretty hilarious to watch the girls box each other on the game, I have to stay downstairs and ref the game so they they actually don't start hitting each other or the things around them! Josh and I have been having nightly bowling tournaments before we go to bed-and we've decided that we're going to give up real bowling since we can get MUCH higher scores virtually. :) It has been so much fun to have, such a good purchase! I've got Wii Fit coming this week, which I am really excited about, and Bailey keeps asking if we are going to get RockBand now....I'm all for that--I'm a killer on vocals! We'll see though when that happens.

Branching Out

So, for the past 3-3 1/2 years Bailey has wanted the same 3 songs sung to her before bedtime EVERY night. (Unless it was Nana or Papa singing to her because they could get away with anything as long as they were putting her to bed.) Needless to say it got a little old, but that's what she wanted so that is what we did. Well, recently we have been able to branch out! I know, it sounds funny, but this is from child who hates changes and doesn't handle them really well. The three songs were: I am a Child of God, Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, and Families Can be Together Forever. Now we can sing anything with her and she'll be happy! It's a miracle--now I wonder how much longer she'll want to sing with me before she goes to sleep...guess I should cherish it while it lasts. :)
